Moist Baked Salmon

This Easy Baked Salmon gives moist results every time. Choose seasonings to fit your own personal tastes and preferences. I like to cook a whole bunch of salmon up at the beginning of the week and then eat if for lunch in a salad (see this link for my Salmon and Sweet Potato Salad with Avocado Dressing recipe).  The reason I share this Moist Baked Salmon recipe is because many times I would over cook my salmon without having a set time and temperature, which resulted in dried out salmon. This recipe is simple, but many times simple is best.

  • Salmon Fillets 1/4 to 1 inch thick, at room temperature
  • Seasonings of choice sea salt, lemon, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, white pepper, dill, mustard, turmeric, parsely, cilantro, paprika, coconut aminos, balsamic vinegar, balsamic vinegar glaze, etc.

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  2. Prepare salmon fillets and place in a glass baking dish in a single layer if possible. You can also place on top of parchment paper on a rimmed baking sheet. If the fillets overlap, make sure to season the fillets on the bottom.

  3. Season with seasonings of choice. If making a lemon pepper seasoned, cut up the zested/squeezed lemon and place it on top of the salmon or in the pan.
  4. Bake 10-18 minutes or longer if needed. The salmon should be flaky when it is done cooking.

Recipe Notes

If desired the salmon fillets can be marinated for 1 to 3 hours before cooking.
