Turmeric Seasoned Ground Meat with Liver and Onions

Servings 10

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb beef liver grass-fed organic beef liver is best
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 Tbs dried ground turmeric
  • 2-3 Tbs sea salt
  • 2 Tbs liquid smoke
  • 1/4 c dried minced onion

Instructions

  1. Puree the beef liver with a blender until smooth and transfer to a medium sized bowl. You can also use an immersion blender to puree the liver, but make sure to add 1/4-1/3 c of water.
  2. Mix into the liver the ground turkey, ground beef, turmeric, sea salt, liquid smoke, and minced onion.
  3. In a nonstick skillet or saute pan, cook the meat mixture until no pink remains or internal temp of the largest meat chunk reaches 165 F.
